Data Engineer

4 years in data. I design and maintain data pipelines: from cleaning up and verifying the sources, through automating the runs, to a report a decision can rest on. Usually most of it rides on that first stage, because it decides whether the result can be trusted. I also build websites when the results need showing: static, fast, with nothing loaded that the page doesn't need. Delivery doesn't end at launch. I set up traffic and event measurement against what the page is actually meant to achieve, then read that data on a cycle and change the copy, the navigation and the load time on what it shows. Analytics here is part of the ongoing work. I pick language models for the task at hand, the way I pick any other tool. Alongside that I teach maths and I'm building a platform for study materials.
